BIOECONOMY TO BOOST YOUR BUSINESS – GET INSPIRED BY EXPERIENCED ENTREPRENEURS – SAVE THE DAY 8TH DECEMBER 2021

Pozvánky

Enterprises oriented towards the conversion of bio-based materials to utilizable products and services are at the heart of bioeconomy, and provide a fresh alternative to the fossil-based economic approach.

This event will show-case start-ups and early-stage companies which, 1) up-grade bio-waste to usable products, 2) provide new environmentally sustainable business solutions for water contamination from farm run-off, and 3) implement microbiology-driven processes, such as the production of vitamin B12 from waste whey derived in the dairy industry. These three case studies will offer a back-drop for an interactive discussion on how to bring the bioeconomy to reality for your businesses, and offer a sustainable development-oriented approach benefiting society.

Representatives of Citrion, an entrepreneural non-profit, Greece bioeconomy-oriented start-up company, the Irish-based PhytoTowel, and Slovenien ACIES BIO biotechnology contract research organization will talk about their businesses and will share with the attendees their challenges and barriers faced in day-to-day practice.

This is the last webinar organised by the BIOEASTsUP project in a peer-review style. Besides the business case-study representatives, experienced peers will get involved in the discussion to summarize good practices of technology transfer to inspire SMEs from the BIOEAST macro region. Moreover, policy-makers can play a key role to support technology transfer and cooperation between research organisations and entrepreneurs in order to enhance the implementation of bioeconomy initiatives.

The webinar will be organised on the 8th December 2021 starting at 14:00 CET and the target audience is intended for entrepreneurs, policy-makers and researchers, with an emphasis on bio-based innovative solutions – the invitations and agenda will be announced shortly.

The peer-review workshop will be moderated by Markus Dettenhofer the coordinator of the CELEBio project and Marie Kubankova BIOEAST HUB CZ Leader.
