Jan Nedělník, Ph.D is a managing partner in a private agriculture research company, senior researcher and coordinator for various research projects. He is a president of the Czech Academy of Agriculture Sciences, vice president of the Association of Research organisations, he is involved in the preparation of RIS and also national innovation platform focused on agriculture and he is an external member of the MENDEL University board of experts. Dr. Nedělník has coordinated numerous national and also international projects focused on agriculture, new breeding techniques, education and innovation management. He is the Czech team Leader of the BIObec BBI-JU, BIOEASTsUP H2020 and also EUCLEG H2020. He is a coordinator of the BIOeconomy HUB CZ.
Marie Kubankova, Ph.D. has dedicated the past 12 years to supporting the implementation of innovation in the areas of agriculture, bioenergy and food processing, working together with both academia and industry, in both public and private sectors. She has developed several coordination and support projects focused on technology transfer, innovation and communication of agriculture (e.g. www.inovacezvt.cz, www.bioenergetikazvt.cz). She has also developed several research projects for SMEs and research organisations focused on bioeconomy, f.e. projects focused on biogas enrichment, composting technologies, new breeding techniques, management of technology transfer in SME or case studies of new bioeconomy business models to name but a few. In 2019 Dr Kubáňková initiated BIOEAST HUB CZ she is the Leader of the BIOEAST Thematic Working Groups Education Education and Co-Leader of BIOEAST Fresh Water Based Bioeconomy Thematic Working Group
George Sakellaris, Ph.D. has served in the past as Research Director at the National Greek Research Foundation in Athens , while he has spent periods as a visiting scientist at NIZO (Netherlands) Charles University (Czech Republic) and Qatar Foundation (Qatar). Dr. George Sakellaris is a member of the BIOEAST foresight team and a member of BIOEAST Advisory Council. Dr. Sakellaris is a Leader of the BIOEAST Thematic Working Groups Education Education. He is a current member in multiple international Committees, among them the International Council of Biotechnology (ICBA) – board member, the European Federation of Biotechnology (EFB), the Public Research and Regulation Initiative (PRRI), the EU-US task force on Biotechnology. Since the FP3, he has participated in more than 20 EU Research projects, either as a partner or a coordinator, while he is a regular evaluator of EC Research Proposals since 1998 to now. He is the author of more than 60 papers, and he has been an invited lecturer in more than 200 conferences worldwide.
Associate professor Jaroslava Hyršlová, Ph.D. dedicated her scientific work, focuses on methods of impact assessment inperspective of sustainable development. She worked as a researcher at University of Pardubice and participated in the INTERREG EUROPE program, she participated on the implementation of the INNO PROVEMENT INTERREG EUROPE project focused on the research and development assessment and she is participating on the development of road map focused on applied research in digitalisation and bioeconomy. She is developing publications focused on technology transfer, economical - social and environmental evaluation and also bioeconomy models.
Dagmar Dolezelova, MBA is promoting bioeconomy in the Czech Republic, facilitating communication about the activities of the BIOEAST Initiative and the events and achievements in bioeconomy in the Czech Republic as a member of BIOEAST Communication Expert Team. She is also actively participating on the social media of BIOEAST HUB CZ and tools of the Association of Research Organisations (member of BIOEAST HUB CZ). She is the chief editor of zprAVOdaj the highly - quoted magazine focused on oriented research, technology transfer and innovation ecosystem in the Czech Republic.
